The Semaphore Workers Club hosted Adelaide swinging rhythm and blues band The Harmonics on Friday 16 August 2009. The Harmonics played to a very enthusiastic crowd of over 180 people showcasing songs from a diverse range of well know authentic blues artists including Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers, Fabulous Thunderbirds, John Lee Hooker, T-Bone Walker and Tommy Castro to name a few. The Harmonics also took great delight in celebrating tracks from not so well known American blues artists including Walter ‘Wolfman’ Washington, John Juke Logan, Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers, Bobby Rush, Duke Robillard and the Phantom Blues Band.
Formed in mid 2008 The Harmonics are fronted by lead singer and guitarist Russell Stuart and Greg ‘Bobby Blues’ Carmody, local Adelaide Harmonica player, singer and percussionist. The Harmonics also include Paul ‘PT’ Turner on drums, Dave Martin on bass guitar, Neil Kowald on keyboards and Steve Toll on Tenor Saxophone.

Formed in 2008, The Harmonics are fronted by talented singer guitarist Russell Stuart and Greg 'Bobby Blues' Carmody local Adelaide seasoned harmonica player singer and percussionist. The Harmonics include jazz n blues specialist Paul 'PT' Turner on drums, the 'Doctor' Dave Martin on bass guitar and have recently signed up the very groovy Jesse Deane-Freeman on Hammond B-3 Organ.
The Harmonics repertoire includes a range of Contemporary, Chicago, Jazz, Electric, Jump and Hammond Organ Blues performing songs from a diverse list of well know blues artists including Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, John Lee Hooker, T-Bone Walker, Tommy Castro, Booker T & the MG's and not so well known blues artists including Walter 'Wolfman' Washington, John Juke Logan, Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers, Bobby Rush, Duke Robillard, KC Ray, Coco Montoya, The Phantom Blues Band and more.
The Harmonics have played right across Adelaide's premier live blues, jazz and soul music venues and are currently playing regular monthly gigs at the Bacchus Wine Bar, Henley Beach and the Royal Oak Hotel, O'Connell Street, North Adelaide.
